I have been to Onsen a number of times for facials and massages.  Exceptional service by the owner.  He does the BEST massages and Alex is very knowledgeable on facials.  Very relaxing and clean environment.

Went there to get a spa pedicure & manicure. They didn't ask What kind of pedicure I wanted first mistake. I brought my own nail color just in case they didn't have anything that interested me, they did have the same brand and style as my Polish just not the color. But while applying my color I realize they had the textured Polish But didn't have training on the application and didn't bothering reading the simple instructions, 2nd mistake. So I had to explain step by step. As soon as the Lady finished applying the Polish to my hands she said "pay now" I've never paid before I was completely finished being serviced, third mistake. Then I realized I was the only person they did that to, it was three other people being serviced at the same time and they weren't asked Until they where on the way out the door. Then my girlfriend I was with pointed out that I was the only woman of color there. Sad and true to say that had to be one of the reasons for the awful treatment. Also before my toes Were done drying the man Who seemed to be the boss comes over to put my sandals on, messes up my Polish and blames me for telling him the instructions for the Polish that no one on this "business" took the time to read! Unbelievable. So five mins after reapplying my Polish that he messed up he comes back over to me tells me "I'm done and I can leave!" By far the worst customer service I've ever had! Won't be returning.

I did the spa package about two years ago and I am so excited to go back. They do a great job with everything and the atmosphere is very laid back, warm and welcoming.
