This place is garbage. Overpriced, try to charge for things you don't need and their area manager is aggressive and disrespectful. NEVER take your car here.

We bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 from a car lot with a check engine light on. Took it to these guys cause they honor the national extended warranty we bought. BIG MISTAKE! Jeremy is a joke. They replaced our transmission, ecu, full motor rebuild, and more. Every time I would call on the day that it was supposed to be done there was always something new that needed to be replaced and was ALWAYS an excuse as to why it wasn't done and why it was going to take a lot longer. That was if they even answered. Several times I had to drive to the shop to get answers and in such event the entire team was out horsing around or working on their own cars/ friends cars. You want professionalism and quality work with quality parts. THIS ISN'T THE PLACE! Only gave them one star cause that's as low as you can go!

*BUYER BEWARE* I had 3 oil changes done and by the 4th I was getting a bad vibe by them. I looked under my truck and saw an oil filter from Jiffy Lube that had a date on it from a year previous. Needless to say, I was going to take them to court but they decided to pay out of pocket for damages. Please watch yourselves and don't be taken advantage of like I did. Oregon City Car Care, you should be shamed of yourselves. God won't let you get away with this for much longer. Your secret will be told. Thanks to those who read this.

$1250.25 TO REBUILD A TRANSMISSION THAT THEY NEVER REBUILT OR EVEN TOOK OUT OF THE TRUCK!Poor to fair is the lowest rating that I can choose from, I would rate this shop on a scale from 1-10 a zero. I took my truck to Oregon City Car Care because the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I dropped my pickup off in the afternoon on1-24-2013 explained to them what I needed and left my truck there. I received a call on 1-25-2013 Friday morning stating that the transmission had been rebuilt. Jeremy the mechanic said I needed new exhaust catalytic converters because they were plugged up and that is what caused the transmission to burn up. The cost of the converters were going to be an additional $500.00. I agreed to the price and told them to go ahead and do it. I stopped by there on my way home from work because they said the truck was going to be completed, It was not! Apparently they were unable to do it and it was sent over to a local muffler shop to have the repairs made. I drove over to the muffler shop and looked at the catalytic converters that were removed, The next day after paying for and picking up the truck I took the truck to a different shop to have extra leaf springs installed on the rear. I asked them to see why it was dripping transmission fluid since the transmission had been rebuilt the day before . After inspecting the truck with the tech on duty, I noticed that all of the bolts holding the transmission to the engine were still covered in old grease and dirt. Imagine my surprise when after paying $1250.25 the transmission had never been rebuilt or removed. I took the truck to two other transmission shops that verified the transmission had not been removed. I went to OCCC and asked how they were able to rebuild the transmission without removing it since it had the same problems it had when I dropped it off. Jeremy stood in front of me and actually swore up and down that he rebuilt the transmission after I showed him the evidence. Really? I talked to the shop manager and Gary the owner who said they would take care of it and make it right! On Sunday 1-27-2013 I drove by and saw my truck sitting outside with the windows down, nobody around. I went into the shop thru unlocked front doors and asked the guy that was working there why my truck was left unsecured with the windows down. He stated that he didn't know it would be a problem, and that he didn't even work there. Apparently the shop is used on the weekends by whom ever would like to use it and they have access to you vehicle and keys!I locked up my truck, picked up my wife and returned to pick up my truck. When I returned there were multiple guys in the shop, none of which actually work there but have keys. After all of that apparently Jeremy still works there and most likely doesn't have a clue as to what he was doing. Pictures have been taken of this consumer fraud issue and come Monday morning a complaint to the attorney general will be made. If I can get News Channel 12 to listen, I think that it would be in everybody's best interest not to use this shop.

I brought my truck to Oregon City car care to have the brakes bled and the tranny leak stopped since they rebuilt it less than 50 miles ago. After leaving the truck with them, I was called and told my cam was flat and I needed a complete valve job which would probably require two new heads since the existing ones on the sbc block were 1966 power paks. They charged me for a compression test and said that the number 1 cylinder lobe on the cam was flat with an "estimate" of $1200 plus parts. I declined and told them to simply fix the tranny leak and bleed the brakes ...AND do NOT do any work that will put the bill over $200 without calling me for authorization. Upon picking up the car I was presented a bill for $300. The truck was still leaking tranny fluid and the brake lines still had air in them. I forked over the $190 I had in cash just to get my truck back from these pretenders. After taking my truck to a reputable shop, I was told that there was no way that Oregon City Car care could have done a compression test without removing the headers. The cam did need replacing but it was cylinder #6 (showing me the cam) that was bad and the spark plug to 6 was actually the only plug that could not be removed without removing the header meaning that if OC Car Care would have actually did what they said that they did, they would have been able to correctly diagnose the problem. The reputable shop verified that the brake lines still had alot of air in them after they bled them for me so I took my receipt back to the owner (Terry) at Oregon City Car Care and asked what I had paid for since the compression test was performed (showing him the cam), the brakes were not bled and the tranny was still leaking. He said he look into it and get back to me. I told him I was willing to pay for any work performed but I am not willing to pay for work that was only said to have been performed. I want my money back but Terry didn't ever call me back I have heard nothing from Terry since (big surprise?) even though I have spoke to him face-to-face twice now about this. When I was little my momma told me to watch out for the crooks and thieves in this world and now I'm giving you the same warning. I landed in some quicksand along life's trail and just telling you where it was that I found it.
