We own a lot at ORPS and it is the best thing we did for our retirement.   We have made so many new friends and enjoy many of the activities and beautiful facilities.  There is so much to do and the people are friendly. As far as pets go, it's been an ongoing problem.  I personally do not want dogs using my lawn as a toilet.  I think dog owners and non dog owners will never agree on this. There are designated areas for pets and I understand there's a dog park close by.  
ORPS is a beautiful place - Adult Disneyland.   Oh, and kids are welcome.  No age restrictions.

We visited friends here & loved the place.  Can't believe the amount of activities available and how friendly everyone was.  It is definitely geared towards retirees but so are a lot of places in the Coachella Valley.  For all the people bitching about small children not being allowed in the pools: It seems to be a basic health rule everywhere around here.  Diapers leak, water gets contaminated.  They could probably allow "swim diapers"  but then they'd need to have someone check every baby's butt because some entitled twit would feel that the rule couldn't possibly apply to them.  They also won't allow children under 14 in public pools without adult supervision for safety reasons. And they ask people with active diarrhea not to use the pool for sanitary reasons.  Every time there is a fecal "accident" the entire pool must be drained, cleaned & refilled.  This is extremely expensive, labour intensive & a pain in the ass for everyone.

Great place to come and relax. Pretty empty during summer just check the weather because some weekends are really hot.

Has all the amenities you could want in a RV Resort it is exceptionally maintained the Grounds Golf Course restrooms everything great place
