We were really excited to try this cafe after reading the great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. Walked in and seated ourselves after watching others do the same. We were then asked to move which was not a problem. It was busy and we were willing to wait, but the staff looked and acted totally disorganized. Never checked on us during the 40 minute wait between ordering and receiving our food. My order was stone cold and the other order was barely adequate, but it was flavorful. I hate for our tourist population to get the impression that New Mexico service is bad, because it's not.

We love Palacio! While visiting Santa Fe last month, this place was recommended to us and we couldn't wait to come back. Had enchiladas with green chili stew (gluten free) and now ordering the tom and mozz panini gluten free. They are so friendly and accommodating especially to gluten free. This will be a regular place we visit!

Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. If you are claustrophobic at all you might be uncomfortable!! We would have enjoyed the outside of the cafe! Glad we went.
