Story

Palmetto Animal Hospital opened in 1980 to best meet the veterinary needs of dogs and cats and provide boarding services in the Florence, SC community and surrounding area. Our first rate facility and dedicated team of veterinary professionals works hard to improve the health of the pets of the Pee Dee seven days a week. Operating as a full-service facility, we provide a complete list of comprehensive services with a focus on total wellness and preventive care.

On a daily basis, our office provides the following products and services to our clients and their pets: wellness exams, vaccines, spay/neuter procedure, dental cleanings, parasite testing & preventives, blood tests and other lab workups, general surgical procedures, pain management, advanced imaging technology such as radiology and ultrasound, internal medicine, microchip identification & implantation, injury assessments, physical therapy treatment, radioactive iodine 131 treatment, prescription diets, canine & feline boarding, baths, anal gland expression, nail trims, and many more products and services to keep your pet healthy!

We specialize in veterinary physical therapy and radioactive iodine treatment. Our physical therapy services include low-level laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical simulation, heat and cold therapy and massage.
