The hotel was booked under my partner's name but I was registered in the booking. We were told I could check in on my own since he was arriving later and when I get to the hotel, they said I wasn't allowed to. They didn't stick to their word and because of that I had to rearrange the rest of my day, which included work commitments. The reception desk staff were super rude and not accommodating whatsoever. My partner called and an hour later they finally let me into the room. We booked a king but they gave us two doubles. One of the nights we ordered room service - the food was cold and dry and bland. For a hotel that's supposed be of high standards and quality, it was definitely a let down. Won't be going there again. On a good note though, the bellhops were really nice and helpful.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Pan Pacific while visiting Vancouver in Aug/Sep 2017. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. The location is just superb...very centrally located within walking/biking distance to most activities that you'll want to do and free shuttles available for the ones that are a little further out. The views were amazing and we loved watching the cruise ships come in. The rooms were just a bit outdated, but still clean and perfectly nice. Our original room at check-in had a pretty horrible view...a quick call to the manager and he had us in a view overlooking the pool and harbor...very customer oriented staff! We had an excellent stay at this hotel and would happily stay here on future Vancouver visits.

We celebrated a special occasion and stayed in a Pacific Club concierge level room for one night. The staff were fantastic. They had a small box of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. Our room was clean, modern, and luxurious. It had a great view of the east part of the harbour. The Pacific Club lounge had an even more spectacular view, delicious baked goodies like scones with clotted cream and freshly baked cookies, as well as canapés in the evening and a solid breakfast buffet.

I have stayed at the Pan Pacific several times on business and for pleasure, and they have never failed to disappoint. The rooms are spacious, most views are great, and the amenities in the hotel are unmatched by most in the area. Several restaurants offer fine and casual dining. The hotel is attached to the convention center, and there are events and attractions galore. Be aware that the events can sometimes lead to a very busy atmosphere.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They really know they're stuff. They were genuine and helpful. The receptionist, I think it was a guy but I'd really hate to assume they're gender, he was the true hero. It was my first time shooting up coke, but he guided me pretty well. Without his knowledge on shooting up highballs, I might've overdosed. Instead, I had an amazing experience. We smoked some crystal later on during they're brake. Would definitely go to this hotel again.
