Let me 1st say that I have never written a bad review ever and wasn't expecting to write one about Pancake Cafe, as this restaurant has been in business for over 24 years and I used to love it. Today, I was disappointed. I ordered a veggie omelette and substituted the onions for spinach. I asked for tomato slices, instead of hash browns, but got fruit. Also, they forgot to add the spinach. The worst part of my experience was the pancakes. I have never had such awful pancakes in all my life. This is not an overstatement. I was hoping for light and fluffy, but instead, got dry and tasteless, hard and dense, like they were previously frozen, then microwaved. My waitress was nice and brought back fresh ones; however, they were exactly the same, so I didn't eat them. No sense in adding extra carbs and calories eating something of that quality.

Lovely gem of a cafe! Warm inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff! Huge menu to choose from. Online there is not a kids menu...but they do have one. My son ordered the junior pancake w/eggs & got 3 good-sized pancakes! I ordered the specialty (apple pancake). Takes 30 minutes to cook, but it is worth it!! Its the size of the plate & loaded with baked apples & cinnamon. Mouth-watering good!! Bathrooms very nice & clean, smelled nice too. Highly recommend this wonderful place.

Always super friendly and great service.  However, the price for what you get is high.  In my opinion there are other alternatives in the south Naperville area that are a better.  Food is pretty good, but not great.

Everything is good here. Nice atmosphere, great people, even better food. Especially corned beef and pastrami!  Will not disappoint you!

Great Service.....order off the Speciality Menus on table and the Strawberry Orange Juice is Fanstatic....btw did I say we had a small wait, and its just an enjoyable place to be!
