Nice pleasant quiet place not overrun by ridiculously loud people. True woods and park. However, I went to go fishing and they've drained the lake. But I figured they're probably fixing a safety issue with the dam. And I understand that is most important. Plus, it also indicates good management!!!

This place has such friendly park maintenance staff. I reserved a primitive camp site for 2 nights and had a very nice experience . Camped right on the lake. Felt safe here overall though people were surprisingly sparse. Nice little retreat. Be sure to bring a cart if you're camping and bringing a lot of things. The sites are about 1-2mi from the parking lot.

So peaceful and was able to take my 5 dogs (On leashes of course) on a hike that we all enjoyed. They saw a deer for the first time in their lives (we just moved 2 weeks ago from Puerto Rico) and were shocked at the site. I loved it entirely and so did they.

Awesome archery range. Good camping lakeside. Lots of trails to walk. Great place to spend a nice day. If you go when the foliage is thick watch out for ticks. Aside from that you will have an excellent time whatever you decide to do here.
