Great economical camping with all the amenities PLUS the mountain: they want to tear down; so see it now IF you really want to! IF not, lake, fishing, good water and think drainage ( fine day and night of constant rain will need extra considerations!) - Don't be too suprised IF a camper/ trailer is 30 ft away but 20 ft higher than you are? Stone or hard pack sites- at main gate a pull through parking lot next to a potable water source and a double dumping station. You'll need a map at check in to follow the directions, Google's not enough ( for newbies or long\big rigs , clearance & turn around) The carvings are magnificent! The ranger station was knowledgeable of the battle fields and method of battles ( with pamphlets too!) Lots of info you may have never found there. FYI : Eat well before the tour & hydrate. Unless your much younger & richer than eye am ? 😅

Amazing! Travelled pulling a small camper on the weekend before Thanksgivings. The grounds were full but they had a cancellation and got us in. We had 163A and it was perfect!! The check-in was simple and efficient, the staff was awesome and the site was great! Right next to the playground with a gas grill and picnic table and fire ring.

Nice campground, but very loud neighbors blasting music past 11. Not really the campgrounds fault, but still super annoying. That aside, it's beautiful here with a lot to do inside the park for free.

Was told there would be working wifi. I needed to get a report submitted tonight. I arrived, hooked up, set up my workstation to find out their wifi does not work. I connect to the IP just fine, but no service. Put me in a real tight spot with my work.

This is beautiful campground for tent camping or RVs. I highly recommend the yurts - nice accommodations and fantastic views of the lake and the mountain! There are some amazing lake views throughout the campground. There are picnic tables, fire rings and grills at each camp site as well as electric water hookups. The restroom and shower facilities are well maintained. The pricing is very reasonable and they offer discounts of Stone Mountain park admission for campers as well.
