This is a great little place! It can be very busy, especially during lunch. On Saturday and Sunday they have delicious breakfast options. There is a large assortment of sweets. Their lunch menu is also delicious! There is not a huge bread bakery like the one in Bishop, CA but you can still buy fresh loaves!

Shatt's Bakery has their original shop in Bishop California. We love having this here in Carson. No table service for food, you order it they bring it and clean up. The bakery items are great, many kinds of breads. I had a lean tasty Ruben sandwich, one of my favorites. Great house usually 6am to 6 pm. In the east side of the Carson mall.

While the food is great, the service here is spotty at best. I have on multiple occasions left feeling disgruntled. I was in with family on one occasion and the woman behind the counter walked right passed us to help her friend who came in after. On another occasion I came in for lunch and was given a hard time for requesting a special order. On yet another trip I asked for a Cajun ranch sauce (that I had previously been offered). The woman behind the register politely told me that they do not have Cajun ranch and she didn’t know how they made it. On my next visit in I was told that the woman who helped me went to the manager about the cook who had previously made it, tattleing on him for making custom sauces. This used to be one of my go to spots for lunch, but the service makes me think twice about spending my money here any longer.

I love having lunch here. The potato soup in a bread bowl is decadent, and I always pick up a loaf of bread to take home.
