Story

Steve Bakula is an avid biker. His first bike was a candy apple red balloon tire cruiser purchased by his father at a local hardware store. He advanced to a 10-speed until it was decided that a Stingray would better hold up to his rough riding. As a teen he biked Martha’s Vinyard for a week on a school trip enjoying a ‘little slice of heaven’. After high school, biking took a backseat to life and other situations. Seventeen years ago he purchased a mountain bike; that purchase forever changed the direction of his life. Passion for biking was reignited! New bikes would follow him home every couple years ‘like a lost puppy’. He currently rides full suspension mountain, road, BMX and a single speed urban/dirt jumper.

Steve worked for Bob Shouse at Bicycle Bob’s Bicycle Outlet part & full time totaling 12 years. Learning first hand that ‘the little things mean a lot’, such as taking the time to properly adjust the helmet strap for the customer, especially the little ones; treating people fairly and equally, regardless of their station in life.

Steve’s passion is biking and he feels very blessed in being able to share his passion.
