I REALLY want to give this place 5 stars because it’s the best BBQ pulled pork I’ve ever had. But the phone service isn’t very friendly and it’s not air conditioned. I’ve bern left on phone for more than 10 minutes waiting to place an order. Tried calling back to get a completely busy line. 

If you do get to order, that pulled pork, it’s so moist and delicious. It’s a good amount of food for your money. It warms up well because it’s made so fresh. I highly recommend their coleslaw too, a sweet southern slaw.

Would have awarded 5 stars to this place on quality, taste, and environment, but they lost a star on poor set up of the restaurant undoubtedly due to the fact that they have been doing it the same way for 70 years.  Loved the food, had an entire conversation with my wife about how great their Cole slaw was.  Meat was a 10, sauce was a 7, baked beans were a little tight for my liking I'd give them a 7.  Good flavor, loved the homey feel,  will go out of my way to stop here.  I know may seem odd with a 10 and two 7s, but good BBQ is not prevalent in SW FL, this place is very good BBQ, and I am a BBQ junkie!

Had the chicken sandwich plate.  Very generous.  The sweet sauce was a bit hot for my taste.  I like a sweet bbq sauce without the burn.  My husband had the sample plate.  It had ribs, chopped chicken, chopped beef, chopped pork, 2 slices of bread and 3 sides.  It was dinner that night, lunch for him the next day and dinner for me.  The place is a hole in the wall but the food is very good.

We had 2 rib plates, 1 chopped pork plate, and 1 sausage plate. All were great and they have also added mac and cheese as a side which was really good too. While we were eating we saw a couple of the BBQ baked potatoes being carried to another table and my son's jaw dropped at the size of them. I don't know where they get the potatoes from, but they are huge!

My wife has been going there since in the womb, 1949. Just went last night, delicious rib dinner and even had banana pudding as a treat. Another new side from time to time is Brunswick stew, delish. If you want a baked potato this is the place for you. They are as big as a plate and come loaded, or choose a bbq meat topping. You'll probably be taking some home. Great owners and the staff is like family. A great little place
