Hot water heater installation today.
Excellent service, on time, available on short notice for a leaking hot water heater. Professional, thorough, very clean.
Expensive. New 50 gal heater, flood pan, two ball valves, reconnected recirculating pump. 
$1399.99 including tax. 
Last time I had that heater replaced (2009) it was a little less than $700.
I suspect that it was a bit high even allowing for inflation, but I liked the service, and paying a premium was worth it to have the problem solved expertly within a couple hours of my call.
Would be 5 stars if not for the price.

Upon my 7 year old son bringing it to my attention earlier this week that the downstairs shower was pooling water, we realized the sewer ejector pump wasn't working. We made a call to Penning plumbing after receiving  a recommendation and the very next day Darrel Y. came and replaced the pump. He was very careful with his work and made sure that everything looked to specification and code.  We are so glad that it is taken care of being our basement is completely finished. Darrel potentially saved us thousands of dollars toward renovations due to the possibility of backed up sewer water flowing from the top of the basin underneath tile, lament flooring, carpet and creeping up dry wall. Thanks for helping us Darrel and we appreciate your kindness and attention to detail. The Penning family owes you and your wife a nice dinner at a local restaurant of your choice. Darrell did an outstanding job of diagnosis/repair of our 37 year old furnace. Was on time and very polite and knew his trade! Also did a good job presenting/explaining our options for when we need to purchase new furnace/AC. Would recommend him to anyone looking for honest and good work.

We are very impressed with Penning and their services. Initially had Brad ( plumber ) come and install the  kitchen  faucet and garbage disposal. We liked him so much that we called Frank ( electrician ) for oven installation.

 The guys are very professional, friendly and I am 100% satisfied with their work.  I Rarely give out a five star rating  because I am very picky about results. But this company deserves it for both services.

The Technician was on time, very knowledgeable and very professional. He explained what he was going to do and the cost before starting the work, he had a great attitude and when the job was over he made sure the area he worked in was clean. I would definitely recommend this company.
