I don’t think they have one person working at the PA. Unemployment office that knows what they’re doing. I have called and talked to three separate people regarding my unemployment compensation and not a one of them helped me. I filed over 3 MONTHS yes months ago and not one person ever called or emailed me to let me know the status of my claimI still have not received a dime. Good luck getting getting unemployment compensation from them. Worthless
PA governor has failed us. This service is supposed to be a safety net for hard working, tax paying citizens. It seems throwing money away on a failing education system and increasing welfare spending are more important to him than keeping a promise to the working person. If there was any justice in this world - anyone who works for this dept. would be FIRED and have to try to get unemployment compensation.
If i could i would give them a negative 100. I tried call all day from 8 am until just now 5 pm all day every 15 to 20 min and it was a busy signsl and dont you know at the strike of 5 pm it had a ring . Those AH never answer the phone . I have an application in already, and i have 2 very important questions and i never get a person!!!
I resigned from my job in September 2021 due to health issues .I could no longer perform my duties due to the job aggravating my condition more.My issues were reported to my supervisor and I was given help when help was available but there were times we didn't have the extra help . I had surgery to replace my knee .I was approved for unemployment several times and later denied because the representative stated in my file during our phone interview I wasn't available for work therefore based upon her notes I was denied according to pa law I must be available to work ,I have been seeking remote work from home for months . I appealed the decision in March and I have not heard one thing concerning when I will be given a hearing ,only acknowledgement of receiving my appeal . It's now July ,I have not received anything concerning my hearing . I also wrote to the governor office the secretary did reach out to unemployment and she did tell me information I already knew .She informed me my case was in the referee hands and it wasn't anything else she could do . The referee had no set time to make a decision concerning my case .Waiting I have fallen behind on my bills ,I'm not able to pay for my medicine ,car under repossession . I think the ones that sit in authority making decisions for other people lives are not concerned because it's not them nor anyone they love . I wouldn't wish this on my enemy because what a person have to go through to draw unemployment out of Pennsylvania ,it's really sad and unfair to the clients. We have family and bills as well .I just pray that something is done and laws are changed to help the clients get better results than what wethey are getting from unemployment . God help us all .
I am a school bus driver in Pennsylvania I have been out of work since June 10th 2022 due to summer break I have filed every week I have received nothing I have tried to call gotten through twice. An employee had unemployment who I spoke to in April put on my claim that I said I was not working because I was Ill never said that!!! So now she has my whole claim failed up I've been to the representative I've sent emails!!!! CAN NEVER GET THROUGH STILL NO ANSWERS!! I call almost every day to get a busy signal that drops the call! GOVERNOR WOLF YOU REALLY NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE, IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF SINGLEAND THIS IS MY ONLY INCOME... I HAD TO HAVE LIVE OFF OF MY SAVINGS, not much ...BECAUSE I CAN'T GET ANY ANSWERS FROM THIS OFFICE!!!
I received several letters stating I have an overpayment of $3000 dating back to 2021 when I had to put in unemployment due to not working because of an illness. They approved of it later in the Fall of '21, but just got the letters a day ago. They're totally unprofessional. I'm hoping Careerlink will help with this.
Good luck getting a dime. I filed 6 weeks of unemployment between May and June 2021 while looking for a job. I have yet to receive a penny of it. I’ve seen people ride this program for years getting hundreds sometimes thousands of dollars a week with zero intention of going back to work; I file for six weeks for a total of less than 1.2k which that in and of itself is fine but I still haven’t received a penny of it? You can’t get in contact with anyone ever, then after a year it expires. A complete scam.
My husband was laid off October 8 2021 he filed immediately. He worked at the Cracker Plant in Monica PA but we live in Texas. Apparently something is wrong because they show 2 addresses. I can’t count the times of calling and he sent one email. Instead of getting a call he gets a email to contact Career Link which he called a message was on there saying they do not deal with issues of unemployment. So he called unemployment office and all they will do is give him he’s third ticket number which will be till the end of March 2022 and we will get another stupid email and still no unemployment benefits. I don’t understand why with all these complaints I’m seeing and news reports that it’s not a class action law suit. Also the no good governor of Pennsylvania Tom Wolf’s phone number also has a message saying they can’t help you with your unemployment benefits either. My husband called Texas unemployment today he got a live person on the phone but she was sorry she couldn’t help because it’s Pennsylvania another state. That’s the difference between a red state and a blue state. Vote them all out of office!!
I filed back in July of 2021 for benefits because of a Covid related lay-off. I never received a penny. For a while I was in contact over the phone with ticket numbers that were months apart to resolve issues. In the mean time, I was able to get back to work and then changed jobs. Now in April off 2022, I had to file again because of a Covid related issue but my New Claim was absorbed into my Old claim that is still active so there is a cross of information and confusion. Nobody is responding now, as you all know, so I dont even know what is going to happen with the mess my claims look like.
I am a military spouse and have 2 small children. 1 of which was extremely high risk and underweight during the pandemic. I had to leave my job due my husband’s emergency deployment and not being comfortable putting my children in public childcare and no one had openings anyway! I was approved was given instructions from my employer and received it while searching for jobs I could do with my kids or work from home. Months later I receive multiple letters in the mail saying I committed fraud and have to pay a HUGE sum back immediately or legal charges, garnished wages, etc. I try to call unemployment no answer obviously. When I finally get through days later I get a ticket number. It takes them 2 MONTHS to get to me and they wouldn’t even call. They emailed me. I had my appeal hearing BEFORE I got an explanation on what was happening. Talk about terrified!!!!! The whole process was a joke. Luckily I got it changed to a non-fault overpayment. I literally had no idea why any of it was happening BECAUSE I WAS APPROVED. Oh this was also a school district that put me through this. A place that gets 50% back anyway because they’re non-profit so don’t go work for South Western School District.
