I rented a truck to move my bed and some items from storage. The Penske rep and ladies at Home Depot that assisted were great, however the truck was terrible. The truck was filthy, smelled of urine and the mirrors wouldn’t adjust. Unfortunately because of that I was unable to use the truck for a full day and retrieve the rest of my items from storage. I do not recommend them nor will I use them again! UPDATE: On 5/9 I received a direct call from Riley from Penske. The fact that he took the time to call me directly means a lot and goes a long way, it lets me know that Penske values their customers. He sincerely apologized and reassured me that this would not happen again and made me whole without me having to ask. I'm also going to take him up on his offer and give them another chance. If you are reading this review, I recommend renting from a Penske Truck Rental facility and not via Home Depot.
The rental truck and Penske rep that book my reservation over the phone were excellent. The experience of getting the truck from the horribly managed and staffed Home Depot Oxon Hill,MD location was worst than I could ever have imagined. All of the ignorant employees I encountered belong in the unemployment line.
Reserving was easy, the truck was very clean and the 3 day unlimited mileage is awesome!!
