I've had very good experiences at the Pep Boys in Hemet, The parts manager is very knowledgeable and friendly. Nearly every employee I've been helped by has been able to find the part or tools I need. Even for my older 92 Ford Explorer. The prices are generally a bit higher than you can find online, but when factoring shipping cost and time, it's not at all bad. Overall I'd recommend at least stopping in and checking with them for your car needs.

Twice now, have I come here to get an oil change, only to be turned down and sent away, without even so much as an apology. Granted, the first time I got there 15 minutes before close, so I understood. Sadly I usually finish work at 7pm, and these are the only guys around that will do service this late. 

However.. my 2nd trip going there, I had arrived 35 minutes before close. 35 minutes! That's PLENTY of time for them to get it done with time to spare. But after standing around waiting for 10-12 minutes for the gentleman working in service, by the name of David, who was "nowhere to be found" after being paged overhead a few times, and a fellow employee being sent to find him, finally came out from whatever he was doing - only to tell me that he wouldn't do the oil change. Despite me arriving well before closing time, and despite being made to wait only to be turned away. 
You would think that somewhere as "reputable" as Pep boys would live up to their standards. But I'm afraid every single experience I have ever had with Pep Boys, at several different locations and not only this one in particular, has been absolutely awful. 
After working in customer service and hospitality for well over 5 years, I NEVER, write 1 bad reviews. But my experience with these people has been absolute TRASH every single time. I'm sad to say that Grease Monkey of all places blows them out of the water in almost every category. Be rest assured I will not ever come back to one again. And I'll make sure to spread the word to my friends and family. I am very displeased with the complete lack of care for their customers, and the sheer laziness and audacity I've experienced, every single time. I'm very, very disappointed.

StAff good and friendly, mechanics work harder than expected, and alwzys willing to give you a jelping hand

 unexperienced unknowledgeable and basically worthless mechanics they are Parts changers they have no diagnostic skills they would just steal the money out of your pocket if they could
