Got my car reinspected here after it got rejected my Allen Tire saying I needed 950 dollars worth of stuff replaced that didn't even need replacing. The guys here at Pep Boys are the most honest and reliable mechanic shop in the Midlothian/Richmond area. For inspections, it does, however, take all day to do it, for the state inspector doesn't there till 2pm, but let me tell you, it is absolutely worth the wait. I am most certainty returning to them.

Wasn't able to get an oil change because the shop was fully booked yet the website shows availability for appointments. Probably an error on corporate's end but still  inconvenient. It was my fault for scheduling an appointment last minute but they were "fully booked" with only two cars for an oil change at noon according to the tech I spoke with.

I had an appointment at 11, for which I took time from work. ALL I needed was an oil change. That's it. Nothing fancy. And I waited two and a half HOURS for this to be completed. For two hours, my car was left unlocked and unattended in an open parking lot. I could've googled how to change oil, purchased the materials, completed the task, and cleaned it up in less time. The claim they kept making was that they only had one technician that day, but I counted four employees who passed me outside munching on snacks and smoking. If they're hiring people who can't change oil, I have no idea how they get anything done. The only positive thing was that they had a table outside where I could sit and keep an eye on my car--and I got a tan waiting. I've been in car accidents that were more pleasant.

The Pep Boys website rejected this review, no surprise. This is word-for-word what I wrote for them.

Easter Sunday.  I have a flat tire.  I called Pep Boys and asked if I was able to get my tire inflated enough to get to them, would they be able to take a look at my tire.  They said, Yes!  I used a portable air pump and got enough inflation to get there.  They took my car immediately and discovered a screw in the tire.  They patched the hole and got me back on the road.  Oh, and this is the best part:  They wouldn't charge me.  Thank you for the Easter Blessings, Pep Boys.  Your 10040 Midlothian group is just amazing.  Thank you!!!
