We walked in without a reservation. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The place is old and homey feeling. But we weren't looking for an Italian Apple Store feel. The food was great. Our waiter Eric was professional and attentive but not overbearing. We're not Italian food aficionado's, but we do have a sense of things. The seared / roasted potato that came with our meatballs was awesome. We'll be back. The price is high but we're not complaining. This is Brentwood.

Let me start by saying that I am a New Yorker, and therefore automatically skeptical of any "Italian" restaurants outside of the tri-state area. This place blew me away. It definitely has an old Italian feel and would be an intimate spot for a date night or special family dinner. The wine list is great, but pricey, so opt to bring your own. The corkage fee is $30, though, so weigh your options. I would argue that everything on the menu is probably phenomenal, but we only had the opportunity to visit once. This also seems like the kind of place where they will make you anything you want, or modify any of the entrees. Obviously a fresh kitchen, which is a huge plus! Get the cauliflower appetizer. It is not on the menu but is in a creamy lemon sauce (not an aioli - something else, more delicious) and you will not be disappointed. We also split a caesar salad, with some of the most salty anchovies I've had, and a sausage pasta. I LOVED this place, and would go back time and again. Thanks for a delicious meal!

Really bad food and way over priced They give Italian cuisine a really bed example. No home made past and dished come out looking like dinner food. Everything was over salted and bland. To bad zagat has rated them because I have had better food at a diner. I will also add the wine was awful at $20 per glass. The chicken was beyond the worst I have every had!!! You can get better food at the Brentwood cafe for half the price. Ambience is deceiving as you think you have entered for fine dining.... safe your money and time you only be disappointed. Waiter was not groomed very well and not friendly at all! Don't eat here!!!

A staple in Brentwood... great wine list and excellent pasta. They are very famous for their cauliflower appetizer... I've tried to re-create it with little success. It is something we order almost every time we dine there. Highly recommended.
