This review is more for their online ordering system and customer service. They’ve taken the 1st Place trophy for “Worse Experience”. I’ve been shopping at Performance for the past 4 yrs and the employees at their stores are great. So you would think their online ordering would also be great, but NO! I’m ready to spend $2000+ on a Carbon Road bike and Performance was my first choice. I did my due diligence and order a Fuji Grand Fondo w/ Shimano 105 components. Website stated they had plenty in stock. So far, so good. It all went downhill the next morning. I never received an email confirmation of my order, so I called customer service. The lady on the phone never listened to what I had to say. I just wanted to ask if my order was received because I never received an email, but she kept interrupting and told me I’ll get an email. I just hung up and tried their online customer service chat. Brady was helpful and told me they did receive my order and it will take 2-3 days to process. Fast forward 5 days, still no email and no progress. I called customer service and got a lady named Betty. Asked her if I can change the delivery location to their Long Beach store and she straight up said “No”. I thought customer service tried their best not to say “No”, especially to a customer that just spent $$$$.$$! Then I asked for the status of my order and she told me it was on “back order”. But how could that be possible? The website stated they had plenty in stock. I asked her how long it would take to get more and she said, “who knows?” Wow! Betty then said, “I can cancel your order.” Wow again! She offered no effort to help find another bike or keep my business. I cancelled my order and took my money/business to Jax Bicycles. Where I got a great deal on a Trek Emonda SL5! No more Performance Bikes for me.

I just go here to buy stuff I'll only use once like oddball tools and then return them after I'm done with them. Nothing of quality is sold here and the people are as useless as the cheap merchandise

Took my bike in for a repair! They did a great job! Rides like a brand new one..

Extremely disappointed. If you look at their historical negative reviews there is a common thread about their customer service. Very similar experience as Dinah in an earlier review. Store was empty. No one coming by to help. Maybe because I was with my children? After 25 minutes I had to go to the register myself to seek help. I am a novice cyclist and the older gray short haired "manager gentleman" was snooty and made me feel like I was asking silly questions regarding bike frame sizes. Unprofessional and unfriendly. Will never go or encourage anyone to go. A group of other cyclist walked in and the same manager scoffed at them and made a face at a fellow employee right in front of me. The Asian gentleman was more of a gentleman and offered to help and gave general advice. I declined to have them help me further and was ready to buy bikes for the entire family as we are preparing for a trip to Yosemite. Little did they know a smile and attention to service and detail would have gone a long way for their business. It was like the Pretty Woman scene except I was a man looking for a bike! Ridiculous and sad. Hopefully they will read this and take note. Every customer deserves the proper time and attention regardless of their knowledge and expertise. The store was empty that morning for that matter! Look to other places like Long Beach Cyclery in Bixby Knolls.
