Really ill equipped grooming department. We tried to call several times to make an appointment, and no one ever answered the phone. So we went in to make the appointment. The girl apologized for the phone and said someone called in sick that day so it was just her.  We made an appointment for the next week just for a bath, nail trim, and trimming an area behind her ears. They trimmed behind one ear, don't seem to have bathed her, and didn't even get all of her nails. They stated they were unable to finish because she was trying to bite. I worked in grooming all through college, and VERY few dogs cooperate with the grooming process. That's why there's generally at least 1 groomer and 1 assistant. The groomer was alone again, and got help from a cashier who was obviously completely inexperienced. Instead of holding the dog, she just placed her hands on her back, doing nothing. It's not the employees fault, there's not a lot to be done if they aren't staffed properly and have to rely on unexperienced cashiers for help. But I'll be going to a more professional grooming salon in the future.

I considered giving Petco another chance after negative experiences in the past at this location. Including dragging my dog to the back when he didn’t want to go, but won’t ever even consider it again after my experience yesterday. The only reason why I even considered it was for the convenience factor being that I live in Buda. I have worked in customer service for years and they are the pure definition of poor customer service. I walked in yesterday for a nail trim with one customer in front of me. There was an older lady behind the counter checking the customers in when I walked in. Another girl walked out checking a customer out. The two ladies behind the counter never once acknowledged me after 15 minutes. I can completely understand if they were busy or understaffed if they would have as much as acknowledged or told me that they would be with me shortly. After 15-20 minutes of nothing and my dogs anxiety building, I left and drove to Persmart where I was greeted immediately and treated with nothing but great customer service.

If you are planning on taking your dog for grooming to this petco location then DON'T. Terrible service! I made an appointment for today at 12:30pm, my dog needed a haircut and his nails trimmed. They told me it would take about 3 to 4 hours because they were very busy, I showed up like 3 and a half hours later (b/c I didn't get a call from them) and my dog "Reggie" wasn't ready. They said to please give them about 1 more hour that he wasn't ready yet so I did so. I stayed close by doing some errands and I then showed up again to pick up Reggie. At that moment I was informed they needed about 45 to an hour more because the lady had just finished showering Reggie and was drying him off. In all those 5 hours they just bathed him. That's it so my dog was in a cage for half the day with no water and I know that because first thing he did when I brought him home is drink tons of water. To make it short I told them I wanted to take my dog home, to just do the nails. The lady ended up cutting a bit of hair from his face and did his nails. Didn't charge me for the quick cut as a sorry. Only charged me for bathing and nails BUT I am never ever taking my dog back to this place again. Never. I love my dog and this angers me a lot.

I went into the store to pick up my dog some diet food and treats that my dogs Veternarian told me to buy. I looked around at the brand of food we usually get but this time I was looking for the diet tag. When I couldn't find it or any diet treats I went to ask for help. Two ladies that I assume worked in the grooming dept we're sitting down talking and when I went to ask for help neither of them offered to show me and one of the ladies didn't even move out of her chair. They told me to go look some more and I'll find it. No offers to help me look for the products because they were "too busy" sitting down talking about irrelevant subjects. Worst customer service ever. I walked out of the store not buying anything and upset. NEED BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.
