This location is always pretty well stocked in app but rescue cats and dogs (not necessarily a bad thing given the low local population numbers of Bastrop). 

The facilities are clean and the staff are genuinely helpful and kind. You can tell they're all animal lovers here. 

While there aren't many cats and dogs, they have plenty of small animals, birds and fish in stock.

The only thing is please do not set out coupons for rewards for adopting sheltered animals if y'all can't order the coupon books. Integrity. Called baiting to get customers then not be who you say your are. Other than that they are a clean store with nice employees

Petco has a wide variety of pet supplies for animals however they usually only sell pets like birds,fish, turtles, lizards, snakes, and ferrets, and small rodents.  Occasionally they have dogs and cats in their adoption area.  They also offer grooming services and you can usually find what your looking for in this store.

Took me 10 minutes to find someone to help me.  Finally had to interrupt an employee asking a customer where she was from and chatting away.  The employee gave me a dirty look for interrupting but I had no other choice.  Two employees were helping a customer at the checkout.  All I wanted to know was where the frisbees were.  The employee finally finished up chatting and told me they have been sold out.  I left with nothing but a desire never to stop at this Petco again .
