Great convient location. This location is the Petco chains best IMHO. They are very pro-adoption here, plenty of adoptable cats looking for good homes. You will also find a large dog adoption bus located out front at various times.  As a aquarium lover, this location has a great selection of fish for such a huge chain. I've gone to many of their other locations and the fish selection is so so sad in comparison. I'm assuming due to the fact of this location, Union Square, this is a very high volume store. They seem to stock many more live animals of all kinds.

I love this place... I have been looking through their website to see if they put pets for adoption but I couldn't find it. When I went to the store it amazed me with the pet zoo... Love it but the guinea pig is off... :'( but I'll come back and buy pets here when the right time comes... Just really love this store

Big flagship store conveniently situated in the heart of Union Square. Came here with my 15lb Shih Tzu on a Saturday to enjoy the infamous Union Square Food Market right before our visit. 2 floors of a variety of items for a variety of pets. Good selection of toys, especially Star Wars toys and outfits! I also like their selection of dog beds although my dog has way too many now to even consider getting him yet another one. If the multiple times I have visited this Petco location (more than 3 times this year),  the dogs here (on a leash) have been very friendly and not in any way vicious. On that note, I would recommend to only bring your dog(s) only if they are friendly with others because there is a lot of butt sniffing going on in there Overall a lovely experience whenever visiting this Petco spot. Oh, I also forgot to mention that the staff is very friendly and for the most part knowledgeable towards answering my questions.

Have always past by this store until one day my friend needed something. What an eye opening experience. This place is huge! Has everything for NYC pet-raising. From aquariums to dog grooming it's all here.
