I walked into the store and asked to see the ferrets.  The cashier had to grab Cory from the office, because the small animals person was busy.  I asked Cory if I could see the ferrets and the first thing he asked me was “are you going to buy?”  I told him that I might, but wanted to see how the ferrets respond, and he told me that people use the store as a petting zoo and that people have been coming in and making the ferrets sick.   He asked me again if I was going to buy and I told him that I didn’t know, because ferrets all have unique and big personalities, and I wanted to handle them before committing to purchasing one.

I appreciate the concern for the ferrets, but he had to reassure me that he wasn't being this way because he was lazy, and eventually he relented and let me see the ferrets.  Before I was able to hold any of them, he ordered me to sanitize my hands. He didn’t ask, but told me. I would have been more than happy to sanitize my hands and not remotely annoyed about it, but the fact that I got ordered around didn't sit well with me. 

I don’t know what Cory’s problem is, but his customer service skills are sub-par.  For a manager to behave in this manner is horrible, and I honestly just wanted to leave the store altogether-and I probably would have but I wanted to surprise my wife with a ferret.  Maybe Cory should look into a career change where he doesn’t have to work with the public?

After I got the ferret home, I noticed that the ferret had a prolapsed rectum.  My wife took her back to the store two days later, as there was a snow and ice storm the day after I picked her up.  Petco said they would take her to the vet and let us have her back once she was healthy.  We were told they probably wouldn't have her seen until Monday (my wife took her in Friday morning) and they said that they would let us know what was going on when they got back from the vet.

Three days later when we hadn't heard a thing, my wife called and spoke with Amanda.  Amanda told her that she would be there for "at least another week," then rushed my wife off the phone. I called back right away to get more information, and I spoke with Kristin.  She knew the ferret was there, but not much else.  I was trying to find out what was going on with her condition and what the vet had said about her health. She asked me if I wanted to exchange her, which my wife had already told them wasn't what we wanted to do. Even though we only had her a little over a day, we bonded with her as did our other three ferrets and we wanted to keep that ferret.  She then interrupted me and told me that she had a question from a customer, and when she got back, she rushed me off of the phone.

I did speak with Tara who was FAR more helpful and knew what was going on.  She seemed like she actually cared for the animals and customers.

I spoke with Corporate who told me that they would make sure someone called us every day.  I spoke to the district manager on Tuesday.  I didn’t hear anything from the store until Saturday.  That was only after I sent a message to Corporate.  We finally got our ferret back on Monday evening.  However, this whole ordeal has made me very leery of visiting the Jordan Creek Petco.  From now on, I’ll be visiting the Buffalo Road store if I need anything.

Went here with my to buy a fish for my tank, and it quickly turned awry. We were greeted by a friendly guy who cared for the ferrets and a kind woman who trained dogs, who were both helpful. Then we explored our selections for fish, and the “fish god”  there threatened us. He approached us and gave us 10 seconds to leave or he would call the cops...?? His reasons were that we didn’t meet the age requirements to buy a fish, which was unique because we are allowed to buy any sort of fish available from any other store, such as Walmart. This rule was obviously a surprise and unknown to any of us. His rudeness was unnecessary and misrepresenting of the rest of the employees. I do not recommend buying a fish here.

So a group of us decided to go and buy some fish and Cory(the super cool fish guy with a ponytail) kicked us out because you have to be 18 to buy a fish. That's alright were ok with that, so we think it ourselves let's come back with a friend that is 18. That makes sense right? You have to be 18 to buy a fish so our friend will buy it. We go back in and we explain that our friend is 18. We expect him to say "ok what fish would you like to buy" but no. He threatened to call the cops on us because our 18 year old friend wants to buy a damn fish. So you have to be 18 to buy a fish but no you can't buy a fish yet you are 18. Yeah that makes perfect sense Cory. Good logic.

The guy that owns the 2 ferrets was very helpful and all around a great guy, but Cory in the fish man was terrible. Kicked me and a bunch of my friends out because we wanted to buy fish. Someone please help me figure why this is? We love fish and most of us have tanks and wanted new additions to our families...Thanks Cory :(

The fish guy Cory was legit dumb. He told us to leave after we did nothing and gave us “10 seconds to leave” like he was badass? We wanted to buy fish and he kicked us out cause we weren’t 18? Not cause we where messing around or anything but because we weren’t 18. So apparently if you wanna buy fish you have to be 18? New to me because you can buy fish at Walmart with amazing service. So a little upset Mr. Cory AKA badass fish god was lock down D:(
