Banfield is a great place to take my pups. Of course they get to pick their own toy afterward. Spoiled fur balls.

I have been bringing my pets to the groomers here for 15 years. I complained one time about a poor job trimming my dogs nails and they were upset that they had to do it over for free, and told my wife that directly before they did the work over. They took the dog and brought her back with 3 bloody nails. She has never had this before. They said she was being difficult. Which she never has been. After complaining to the store manager about the way my wife was treated and then abused my 7 year old Great Diane I asked for an apology from the employee which I was denied and offered no more assistance. The store manager said I should take my business elsewhere. Which I did and I would not recommend them for any services.

I’m a big fan of Petsmart in general, particularly because of their animal charities. But I always have issues with their store in Clive, Iowa. 

I’ve been there twice.  The first time I placed an online order and tried to pick it up at the Clive store. It was not ready when I got there, the manager did not know how to operate the system to access online orders. It was finally sorted out by another employee, but then I soon learned my credit card information had been stolen via that transaction. So I had to cancel that credit card. 

The second time I tried the Clive store, the checkout clerk took issue with our prescription card when I tried to pay for some expensive dry dog food. She asked me to walk to their Banfield counter all the way in the back of the store, and get a new card. Then, pointedly looking at my stomach (I was 9 months pregnant with twins), she said she wouldn’t make me put my other stuff back in the meantime. 

From now on, I’ll purchase pet products from our vet or Amazon.
