They automatically OPEN A CREDIT CARD in your name and mail it to you EVEN WHEN YOU DECLINE the loan for a dog. Called manager who said "this is a soft hit on your credit anyways." WRONG! Transferred to General Manager who was rude and unhelpful. The workers are nice of course, but they certainly do not let the customers know about the "AUTOMATIC CREDIT CARD." By the way, the credit card has a 29.9% interest rate and fees after automatically applied after 30 days. If you filled out a paper and were considering a dog then you will need to cancel this "AUTOMATIC CREDIT CARD" to keep it off of your credit. I cannot believe this wasn't voiced while in the store. They are nice and the dogs are great, but beware. This is not what it seems. Alerted the better business bureau. Watch out!

Beautiful store with awesome pets, what a pet store should be! They had a great selection of products for our pets and the people were very helpful finding what we needed. The puppies were adorable and healthy and they had a gorgeous bird and small animals and reptiles and fish...it was a wonderful experience for me and the kids. Highly recommend a visit!

We love going to Petland. The staff is nice, and very informative about the pets they have. My daughter bought a cockateil from them and it's the sweetest little thing! They must do a lot of handfeeding with them, because I have never seen them so tame. Want to give special recognition to three employees, Sarah, Beth, and Haley. They have been able to every question I've had. You can tell that they love their job and care a lot about the animals. Keep up the great work! We will be back!

First off, they employ basically any teenager or person to work with and sell animals and they know NOTHING about any of the animals. They tell you false information about said animals. I bought a ferret and had a lot of questions and she couldn’t tell me any thing, the next time I came in to actually purchase the ferret I asked if they were fixed she said no, turns out (thankfully) she is. Why employ people who know NOTHING about the animals and products their selling. I love my ferret but she was so over priced it was ridiculous. She didn’t come with any welcome home products or anything. I personally wouldn’t recommend them, unless you’re looking for a young expensive ferret.

PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE! THE PUPPIES COME FROM PUPPY MILLS! Every pet shop will assure you, solemnly, that their puppies are different. Their puppies don't come from puppy mills, but from wonderful local breeders. Pillars of the community, in fact. Hogwash. No responsible breeder will place one of their puppies in a pet shop. Why do I say that? * Because those breeders are condemning their puppies to cramped cages. * Because those breeders are exposing their puppies to illnesses from the other puppies. * Because those breeders don't care what kind of home their puppies end up in. A responsible breeder wouldn't be able to sleep at night worrying that their beloved puppies could be sold to unsuitable homes by sales clerks who know nothing about dogs. PETLAND SAYS THEIR PUPIES COME FROM USDA BREEDERS! USDA stands for the United States Department of Agriculture, which deals with farming and livestock. The USDA knows little or nothing about dogs. As long as a breeder's paperwork is in order, the facilities are disinfected, cages are a (very) minimum size, and no infectious diseases are immediately obvious, the kennel passes. The USDA has no interest in... * whether the breeder knows anything about his breed * whether the dogs used for breeding look like their breed * whether the dogs used for breeding act like their breed * whether the dogs used for breeding are free of health problems such as hip dysplasia, eye diseases, or heart defects – all of which can be inherited and show up long after you buy the puppy A USDA license is not something that should reassure you. On the contrary, it is a warning sign that a breeder may be cranking out too many puppies.
