This place deserves NEGATIVE stars. They buy from puppy mills which right of the bat brings me to the question, how in the world is this place allowed to be in business?! On top of that, these poor animals are kept in small plastic cages where they defecate all over themselves and are left to sit in it. They drink out of a rodent water bottle feeder... They never get to go outside and play. It is inhumane and should be illegal for this place to buy and sell puppies. They treat these animals like they are a designer purse in a department store. They do not care about the animals well being and safety, they only care about making money. People need to be educated on the horrific activity that goes on here and the puppy mills where these poor puppies come from. It just makes me sick and I know I am not alone. People need to be aware. This business is known for deleting yelp reviews because they know that what they are doing is wrong. These animals need our help to put a stop to Petland and puppy mills. This location, and many others keep dogs until they sell for an outrageous amount of money. They don't care about the age, size or needs of the animal. It is considered abuse.

Employees here has no customer service skills. They don't greet, talk, or even look at me when I come in. They are always talking to each other about personal things, even while ringing me up. Reason why I'm giving a 2 star is b/c the employees in the fish area are a lot friendlier. No complaints there, unfortunately when I leave that area and into the rest of the store I get ignore. Also I used to put up with the horrible employees b/c of the unique fish they had that other big chain stores dont carry. But ever since they remodeled the fish area they only have the most basic of fish found everywhere. This review is based on my many experiences 3-4 or so years ago, so maybe they improved?

This place is absolutely appalling. The DISGUSTING environment these poor animals have to live in including sleeping in their own urine and feces, is NO WAY to treat an animal! There are full size dogs locked in cages that they can barely stand up in. The animals look depressed and the employees could care less about them. Do not support this business!

My boyfriend and I stopped in today (a Sunday around 430pm) to see if there were any Lhasa pups available. Our Lhasa came from this location about 2.5 years ago and we are looking for another Lhasa to join the family. Even though we had massive struggles keeping giardia under control for the first year, we thought we would stop back in as we heard rumor of new ownership which we hoped meant better breeders and better set-up (no sick animals). 

First of all, the sign has been taken down outside the building so it was harder to locate and we though possibly it had shutdown. Had I not called before coming, I probably wouldn't have entered. 

Upon opening the door you are greeted with a terrible stench of urine/feces. I have been in petstores before but haven't encountered a smell this potent.

We were not greeted when we arrived. It was hard to tell who was staff and who was the customer. The whole 10 minutes that we were there, no one approached us or let us know they would be with us soon. The store had approximately 5 small groups, most of which were already in the visiting stalls.

The shelves that were filled with merchandise our last visit, are now empty or very sparse. 

The puppies were quite old and outgrowing their spaces. There were not any signs for pricing or breed information either. 

Overall I wish we hadn't wasted the 30 minute drive. I will not be returning again and will share my experience with others. If I could rate less than 1 star I would.

I only go here for crickets (which theyve been out off for a few months now) and to see Pepe. I heard this place gets their pups from puppy mills, but they reassure folks they don't. I've noticed a few pups having diarrhea and reported it to staff, along with Pepe having dried blood on his wing. They got a lot of "pretty girl" high schoolers working there who know nothing about their job, literally had to show them how to do things. Manager is never on duty and I've left my name and number for them and never get a call.
