I love the Ankeny PetSmart. Take my two fur babies there for grooming. Dogs seem to like going there. Dogs are ready when supposed to be. Staff friendly, helpful, and kind. Kinda expensive so I can't take as often as I'd like. I enjoy "window" shopping. They have everything for our pets!

I always have an awesome experience at this location.  The staff is helpful and pleasant. This visit was to get an aquarium set up for my toddler's bedroom (he loves the fish at his pediatrician's office). We were able to get everything we needed in one stop and spent less than $70 for the whole setup including fish.

They have lots of pet items, but the variety is slim. It's all by a few brands and price is higher than some other stores. Love taking my dog there to walk around and fine some clearance dog clothes.

I was on the hunt for a self-cleaning litter box for my cat; my local Petco didn't stock them. (I saw poor reviews on having items shipped.) So I called PetSmart to verify stock. I ordered online for same-day, in-store pickup. I had to drive half an hour, but it was worth it. My only issue was having to wait 15 minutes by the cart with my order after someone was called to check my it before I could load it up in my car. The check took about a minute. But I would definitely go there again.

Very disappointed with the result of the grooming done here. I brought my puppy in to have her nails tripped and the hair around her paws and butt trimmed. I was charged for it all, and none of it got done minus the nail trimming and a little on her butt which actually made it look worse than before. Not only was the service awful, but the people were rude. They called my dog the wrong name (even after I said and spelled it to them) over the speakers and there were multiple dogs in there so I assumed someone had a similar name and she was very rude when I walked in there after 15-20 minutes from taking her in. I will not return to this Petco.
