BUYER BEWARE! Please share this so other pet owners do not make the same mistake Today I went to my local petsmart to get cat food. They were sold out of the regular brand we get so we bought a small bag of pet smarts own store brand "great choice". When we returned home, we discovered the inside and outside of the bag we *crawling* in MAGGOTS! I immediately called the store. When I finally got through, I didn't get so much as even an apologize (I don't expect a lot but a sorry seems like minimal effort at least) from the store manager. I asked about the quality control standards of the store and what their policy was. He told me, that he was not allowed to tell me the quality standards. And asked if I wanted him to personally check every bag (said sarcastically). Bottom line petsmart and their employees do NOT care about their customers or their pets. I will never ever shop at that store or the chain again. Please be careful when buying food for your pets and make sure to check all quality standards before hand.

The pet hotel there is amazing. The staff is competent and caring, so much so that my very choosy pup is head over heels for them. They get a 5/5 from me.

Many of their products, especially the food for rodents, are unhealthy for them. The cashier was taking a personal call, but was nice and helpful when she got off the phone. There was a pricing error, and she rang up the manager repeatedly, and he did not respond. She eventually had to go and get him. He complained, not looking me or my friend in the eye, and was SO MEAN TO THE POOR CASHIER! Another time, a little kid walked past the clear wall where the dogs are at daycare or whatever. The manager loudly complained about how he hates people to try to make the dogs bark to my friend and I, who were browsing. He used foul language and when I reasoned, "well, if you don't want people looking at the dogs, why have a glass wall?" he rolled his eyes... I feel bad for the employees there, this guy has been rude at every encounter. smh, bro...

Been taking our dog here for day camp, grooming, and Banfield vets for a couple of years. The folks at Day Camp know our pup by sight and he loves them all. I can always tell he has a great time there. Grooming is fast and easy, though sometimes they miss a few spots which I've had to clean up at home. The Wellness Plans are awesome when your dog is younger and needs spade/neuter and all their shots. Helps ease the initial hit to your wallet. And a downright smorgasbord of toys!

Short: Sometimes shorthanded but generally a great place. I take my puppy here for training and grooming. So far so good, the trainer is really helpful outgoing. He won't give you BS when it comes to making a "good" dog. Cheapest training you're going to find in Boston, and great class sizes (currently 2 dogs including mine). After 3 weeks my puppy has mastered sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking. Grooming here is also great. Really fast service and a good job for the price. A bath and trim with some extras is $15 for my pup, extremely reasonable. If you're buying, an excellent selection for a decent price, not the cheapest I've seen. My pup has had accidents and they didn't make a big deal about it and cleaned it up quick. Extra kudos for good employees and a clean store.
