The woman at the cash register was rude. I tried returning a harness I bought for my 90 pound, full grown, outdoor Husky. My dog is destructive which I mentioned when I initially came in to buy the harness. I asked the employees if the harness I purchased would be a good fit for him and all they said was "it should be, I think." 
It wasn't good. My dog ripped it within 2 days. 
When returning the harness, the woman insinuated that I was returning an old harness and kept saying "this looks very dirty for only having it for two days." I then tried to explain to her again that my dog is an outside dog and likes to dig holes, which is why it was muddy. She just kept saying "it's too dirty, but I guess I'll let it slide this time."
The employees are condescending and don't seem to be trained well enough on what their products are actually for. They lack understanding and hospitality. I'll be shopping at Petco from now on.

For what they're selling I think most of their product is overpriced. Plus their employees don't seem to care about their customers. I walked in there looking for a regular cat litter scoop. All they had on display were expensive metals ones. I didn't even know they made metal ones. I hunted for an employee for a few minutes all over the store until finally finding one. I asked them if they could look in the back for me and they said sure. I waited by the aisle for about 15 minutes until deciding to look around for them. I found them alright! They were in this room with 2 other employees just talking and laughing. I left immediately and went to Dollar Tree. It was way cheaper there anyway.

We just had a really great experience at the Bloomington Petsmart. Our dog has been going through a lot of medical issues. Figuring out what to feed him has been a challenge and we've been told 4 things by 4 different vets. When we came in, two employees spent a very generous amount of time helping us. (Lydia and I dont remember the gentleman's name) They were both friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. They listened to the entire background and were able to point us in the right direction. I was extremely impressed.

Bought a bearded dragon which never should have been up for sale; too young, possible parasites, very bad tail rot. When I spoke to the employees about it, only about half seemed concerned. One said, with no apparent concern for the actual animals, that the last two shipments of reptiles they had received had "not been the healthiest."

I ended up buying a dragon at PetCo, which was ~2 months older, healthy, and is already a wonderful little companion.

Prices a little higher than Petco on some cheaper on others but have healthy fish in general. Store is clean and good service. Have let adoptions which is nice adopted a cat there almost 5 years ago and it was easy and they were doing their part to help fund forever families for less fortunate cats.
