This place is terrible! Do NOT come here if you have an emergency. I took my mom here because she had trouble breathing and was throwing up a lot. They just took her into the Triage and then sent her to the waiting room. Keep in mind she's having trouble breathing! Plus, the man in the Triage was rude and had a very bad attitude. This is an emergency room, you should see your patients ASAP.

The treatment that I received was first rate. They responded to my needs and treated me like I was the most important person there. Highly recommended them for any medical issue.

I was at Piedmont on Thursday evening. My husband and I arrived at 4:55 p.m. I was triaged quickly. At that time my blood pressure was 180/101, after waiting for 3 hours, thank God my husband knew I was getting worse, he took me out of there to Madison hospital, by then my blood pressure was 204/102, they took me right in and I'm  so thankful, because you see, I DON'T HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!! I was just that sick! So, my hats off to the Dr's and wonderful nurses at Madison Hospital! Thank you!

I honestly don't even think they deserve one star. My child came in with a cut above her eye and sat in the waiting room with 2 other people. They were seen, the ER filled up and emptied. My daughter is still sitting in there. We got here at 7:30 and it is npw 10:30. She is worried amd having to sit there. I believe a kid should come first especially with an open wound. I Will NOT be back. I will drive the extra 30 minutes and go to Rockdale. Stop worrying about the appearance of your hospital and worry about your patients! No wonder my Obgyn told me to go else where to have my baby, I probably would have had to reliever the baby myself. This is just ridiculous.

I have been treated at this hospital twice. When it was Newton Medical Center in 2009 I was rushed there by ambulance. I was on the verge of having a heart attack. They diagnosed me with Atrial Fibrillation which is a irregular heartbeat. I had to stay in ICU overnight. I got sick again yesterday and had to go to the emergency room. I did not have to wait but keep in mind if you are a heart patient you normally do not have to wait.They saw me right away and once again I had to stay overnight for observation. The staff is always kind and considerate. This hospital saved my life. The only negative complaint is the bathroom in the emergency room needs to be cleaned on a regular basis. I have been to several hospital emergency rooms in the metro Atlanta area and you have to wait a long time unless you are a heart or trauma patient. My mom went to Rockdale hospital 2 weeks ago and had to wait 7 hours before they saw her because there were more critical cases before her.
