I was fortunate enough to live close to this place. 1 mile away and I would take evening walks with my friends to this place. Perfect place place to spend time with your loved ones here. Good selection of food with beautiful view. It has someone playing music all the time and some magic shows organized for the kids. Best place to visit with family on a weekend.

This is a great crowded commercial area full of restaurants, souvenir shops and all sorts of Knick-knacks. It's a great place to bring the whole family and get entertained. This place is larger than it looks and you can easily spend an afternoon here. Alcatraz can be seen from the waterfront. This place is windy and can be chilly during winter so a jacket is recommended. The sea lions also sun themselves here and are used to people watching them from afar.

I brought my daughter here for her birthday and it was her first time in San Francisco. We enjoyed checking out the shops at the pier in the evening and during the day. We got lost in the mirror maze and had fun watching and listening to the seals. We had mini donuts, ice cream and chowder in bread bowls (of course). We did both WWII ship tours, my daughter was scared at first but both we ended up having a lot of fun, both tours were fantastic. We're already planning to come back to check out the aquarium and some different restaurants.

You cannot leave San Francisco without visit this tourist spot. Many stores, cafes, restaurant, market, bike renting. It’s best spots for tourist. I had the chance to visit Blue Angles during the fleet week show it’s was amazing. Pier 39 alone makes this place busy and interesting. I love seeing sea lion and the Pier and Alcatraz island by far after late afternoon. It’s also the place of departing to Oakland via SF ferry, Alcatraz tour, yacht service around the bay.

Family attraction that has restaurants, gift shops, views, activities. And it’s really fun! Has wheelchair access. However, I couldn’t find the bathroom. I with this place was breastfeeding friendly as in a room for moms to pump or breastfeed or change. I breastfed on a bench and was totally fine. There is an info kiosk that you can use to ask for more info. Make sure you see the sea lions, I don’t know why but they’re funny. This place is always crowded it seems. Which isn’t so bad. Parking is available across the street with a bridge to cross to the pier. Have fun!
