The food is always excellent. The prices are about the same as the other restaurants in the area. I am still undecided about the friendliness of the establishment. They don't make you feel at home or welcomed - it's just business.

Be warned: DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING The 15-inch "large" pizza is actually a 12-inch pizza. With six hungry adults to feed, I called Pizza Palace to order three 15-inch pizzas. When I arrived back home and opened one of the boxes, the first person to grab a slice paused with a funny expression and suggested that next time we need to order large. Well I knew I had ordered and paid for the large, which is advertised as a 15-inch pizza. Simply eyeballing it, though, I knew immediately these were not 15-inch pizzas. What to do? Easy. Grab a ruler! Sure enough, each pizza measured 12 inches in diameter. This must be a mistake, I thought. But it wasn't. I called Pizza Palace and spoke with the manager, politely asking what they would do to correct the situation. He assured me that he made the pizzas himself, and confirmed that indeed he gave me what they are selling as a 15-incher. Staring down at the ruler still in my hand, lined up over the top of the pizza clearly revealing a diameter of 12 inches, I was in disbelief at their unwillingness to quickly resolve the problem. Mind you, we are not talking about a minor discrepancy in size. The difference is enormous. To quantify it, the surface area of a 15-inch pizza is 177 square inches. And the 12 inch? 113 square inches. Not even close. That's right, a real 15-inch pizza is 57% larger than the 12-inch pizza you will get when you order a 15-inch "large" at Pizza Palace. For those who like numbers, the 12-inch pizza is 36% smaller than the 15-inch pizza you are paying for. Think about that for a moment. Imagine if they baked a true 15-inch pie, but before boxing it up and handing it to a customer, they cut out more than one third of it. How would that fly? For comparison, without naming any nearby restaurants, we purchased a 15-inch pizza from a competitor located in the same vicinity on York Road. Then we did the ruler test. The result? 15 inches across. I also called another competitor on York Road and asked if their 15-inch pie is really 15 inches after it comes out of the oven. "It doesn't shrink, does it?" I asked. The guy burst out in laughter. When he finally gathered himself, he said, "No, of course not. Our large is 15-inches. Not 13. Not 14. 15 inches. Sir, you're more than welcome to bust out a tape measure before you hand over your money." Of course he was joking about the tape measure. I thought it was a great idea, though!

Only good thing about this place is that is open late, but I should've saved nutty money and went to bed hungry. When I went to pick up my order, the place smelled like flatulence and the pizza itself had no flavor. It tasted like plastic. The wind selection is also very limited and a cheap brand
