Only giving 5 stars cuz 6 is not an option. The best NY style pizza in the west coast. Eggplant and the crime scene are my two favorite pies on the menu. The counter culture tattooed staff are super friendly and work hard. The place is always super busy and those guys bang it out and get the whole place fed. Born and raised outside of Brooklyn, this is the only place I think is capable of making good pizza in San Diego area. So I visit them a lot at all 3 of their locations whenever I'm in town. If you're in a hurry call in your order... There's often a line out the door and the parking is limited at all locations. But all that is worth the trouble to get the only legit pizza in SD. Place your order and chill with a brew while they make it. They always have an interesting selection of beer on tap.

We love this place. We come here everyone we are in town. Excellent thin crust pizza that you buy by the slice. We only come to the area about once a year and everyone we come back it is just as good as we remembered it. They have 18 types of pizza that are ready to go that you can choose. From you basic pepperoni to completely loaded to vegetarian & vegan options. All the slices are the same price and all the pizzas are in a glass case at the front. I liked the Crime Scene and Buffalo Chicken and the Spicy Kevo in our most recent visit, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything. They have a decent selection of beers on tap as well. The indoor and outdoor seating combo are nice as the restaurant isn't huge. The have a covered dining area in back and an uncovered dining area on the side and seating for 20 or so inside.

A pizza dive bar with indoor and outdoor seating. You can get slices or a whole pizza. 2 slices and a soda is $7. There was a good selection of slices available. I got a pepperoni slice and a mushroom/cheese slice. They were warmed to pretty hot, the crust had a nice slight crunch to it, but the end crust was a bit too hard. The pizza is good, but qualifying it as the best would be a little difficult for me, but it is better than a few other places.

Very yummy! First time there. I was visiting San Diego for spring break and wanted amazing pizza. In a hip part of town! Had the white girl and pepperoni pizzas. Friendly staff. Authentic. Five stars. Kids even liked it!

I really can't say what all the fuss is over this place. The pizza is sub-par at best. We ordered two slices each, one of a "specialty" that was touted as the most popular item, and one pepperoni. The specialty was totally bland, the only pops of flavor were the pools of marinara sauce in random spots. Blobs of ricotta cheese sprinkled on top were equally flavorless. The pepperoni slice was dripping with grease. Crust was so chewy, our jaws hurt after eating. Couldn't even finish the crusts, and I never throw away food. Obviously overworked dough. I have to also note, if you order by the slice, your slice is reheated. Maybe if you're ordering a whole pie it's better, but we'll never know since we will not be returning. Costco pizza is better.
