If you're driving through the area looking for a place to stop for a drink or even food, PKs is the best option in the whole area. I found myself in a jam while here the other night, & the bartender was ridiculously kind & helped me out. It may be small & carry a distinct odor, but what bar doesn't, & it's the only place I feel completely comfortable going to alone. Great prices, friendly people, music on weekends, can't go wrong.

I have been going to Pk's for about 20 years. I have met a lot of wonderful people there. They also serve breakfast on Saturdays. Now they do Chicken Friday. Its pretty darn good!

Definitely the best dive bar in town. Gets a little crowded but if you enjoy being in a country setting and want to enjoy local bands, this is the place to go.

PK's is the best dive bar around. Friendly, no-nonsense service, cheap drinks, and great live music! What more can you ask for? A Carbondale staple.
