A variety of antiques. Mrs. Jan is always attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. I was thankful to purchase coins from a vendor. I told him I would have to rely on him to give me a fair assortment for the price I paid. I do not know much about coin collecting. I left with a more than fair collection of coins. It is comforting to know that to there are honest and helpful people doing business.

A great treasure trove of items. The owner is very knowledgeable regarding the massive inventory and was able to help us find a very specific item. Impressive!

This is a very sweet town with an awesome antique store. The people are always so nice. I wish every town was like this.

Wonderful place. We stopped off here in back in November, having specifically read about it years ago in an in-flight magazine. Really enjoyed our stay. Each of the rooms is decorated in a different style, representing the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and then there's the presidential suite, complete with period furnishings (I'll upload pictures at some point). At the time we were staying we managed to get the presidential suite which in itself was awesome, and they were nice enough to leave the other rooms open so we could wander in and look at them. The rooms themselves have a wonderful charm and quirkiness - but don't go expecting hot tubs and on-demand movies, this is a historical place. There's also a little communal area for your breakfast and to have tea/coffee, complete with a 2nd floor patio to sit and watch the world go by. The check in staff in the store below are wonderfully helpful and can provide you with lots of information on the town of Plains (and of course the Carters). The museum is definitely worth a visit. Quaint and quirky place that's worth a stay for a day or two. (There's not too much in the town, I don't even recall a bar as such, but there is a cafe/restaurant in the block the hotel is on).
