Got the job done but at a cost. My agent (not naming names) didn't really go out of her way to help me out and honestly didn't know much outside of how to file the necessary paperwork. I found every property I looked at which basically defeats the purpose of using an agent. Things would have gotten expensive had I taken her advice during negotiations, fortunately I'm not naive and knew the value and stayed firm on the buying price. Unfortunately I was naive in that I used other professionals recommended by her which cost me some $$ and heartache. In the end, she got the job done but with the hordes of real estate agents around you could easily throw a rock and find a better agent. The fact this woman was co-owner of the company makes me question the whole company as well. This example proves that experience in an agent isn't as important as knowledge, make sure your agent knows what they're doing by asking lots of questions.
