Plato's Closet is an easy way for you to make some extra CASH!

Here is how it to works:

We want your teen and young adult casual clothes and accessories! There is no limit to the amount of items you bring in, as long as it is current, teen brands, great condition and the styles we need. Please note: Because of the large volume of people that sell to us every day, we do not have time to go through baskets of clothes that do not sell well for us. Therefore, we will take a quick peek at the first few items in your basket. If the first few items fit our needs, we will continue looking at all of your items. If the first few items are not the styles that sell well for us, we will be sure to let you know what to bring in next time.

These are the brands that our shoppers buy BECAUSE OF BRAND: American Eagle, Aeropostale, Pink, Hollister and designer brands like Ugg, North Face and Rock Revival. We can only consider these brands if they have been in the mall this last year, maybe year and a half. You don't want to wear clothes from when Britney was Toxic, right? Well our super trendy shoppers don't either!

What about Forever 21, Express, Charlotte Russe, and all the other teen brands? We love these as well, however these are brands that our shoppers buy BECAUSE OF STYLE, NOT BECAUSE OF THE BRAND, therefore we will only purchase these brands if they are extremely current and super trendy styles.

Keep in mind we buy all seasons, all year round, as long as it is a style that is selling well for us and our inventory allows.

Items have to be freshly laundered. Sorry, but we just can't take a look at it if it's not clean.

Throw your items in a plastic laundry basket. Tell mom not to worry...we will give it back. We don't care if it's neatly folded because some of our buyers are guys and they don't know how to refold the items that we send back home with you anyway! Just make sure it's clean, off hangers and right-side-out.

No appointment necessary. We understand that the need for cash can be sudden. When this happens, who has time for appointments? We just ask that you come at least one hour before we close. Otherwise, we are probably gonna ask you to vacuum. On very rare occasions, generally a special sale event like Dollar Day or Labor Day weekend, we are not able to purchase clothes. This is because all staff and registers need to be dedicated to our long line of shoppers. You can always check our facebook page, website or call before you come in!

Come up to the counter with a super duper official government issued photo ID. A driver's license will work just fine.

A certified pre-sorter will quickly go through your items, looking for the styles that sell best for us. We will then give you an estimate on how long it will take our actual buyer to finish looking at your items. The amount of time greatly depends on how much you bring in. The average wait time is 10-30 minutes. There is no way for us to know exactly how much amazing stuff will come in at one time. Therefore, we ask that you bring your items in when you have a little extra time to hang out with us. Who knows, if you are here long enough, you just might leave with one, two, or fifty-three new Facebook friends.

Keep in mind that we sell at about 60-70% off original retail prices and we will offer you about 1/3 of that. So, if it is $50 in the mall, we sell it for $15-$18 and you get $5-$7. Yep, we want to make a little cash too. If you don't like the offer, you can keep your items. If it all sounds good to you, then we will pay you cash on the spot!
