Stopped in for a tour of Austin Texas BBQ since it was recommended by a family friend. So glad we went here! Food was perfect! Especially the sausage and brisket! The chicken is not to be missed either. The staff were shockingly friendly and let us sample everything. We very much appreciated the nice chat and kindness. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. Oh and the ribs! Don't leave without trying the ribs! Has to be one of the top BBQ spots in Austin. Definitely coming back for more sausages! My mom (a Texas native) says it beats Franklin's and The Salt Lick hands down. I'm inclined to agree.

Pretty good bbq that is $3 cheaper than Valentina's and shuggabees. I consider it a good value for what your getting.

Good bbq and very friendly staff. Sides are good too. I’ve always left totally stuffed since they have big portions I think. The habanero sauce is so incredibly good. Probably my favorite bbq sauce of all time.

Had the chopped beef sandwhich with chipotle BBQ sauce and mac and cheese. Not bad, but a little overpriced IMHO. Honeatly, not much better than a BBQ sandwhich you'd get at a gas station. Mac and cheese was good. Very thick and cheesy.

I love this place.  I eat here weekly, primarily because my office is at the bottom of the hill, but also because Poke-E-Jo's literally has the best staff in Austin.  The food is great, but the staff are just AWESOME.  I always get mine to go, cuz ain't nobody got time to eat lunch actually in a restaurant, and they are always wonderful about accommodating my to-go order...they make it very easy (some places are not like this!).  So thank you Poke-E-Jo's and give all your staff a raise!!  They ROCK!

TL;DR: Great food, amazing atmosphere, and wonderful staff.
