Arthur always makes certain that our time at Pomona Bistro is perfect.  On this visit we celebrated a milestone birthday.  Arthur made us comfortable, and Christian, our waiter, was attentive and made certain that everything was delicious.  Arthur was kind enough to even make a delicious birthday cake!  Best restaurant in town.  Perfect.

This is a quiet, romantic spot with generally good food especially on lobster night! Wine selection pretty good and reasonable corkage. Parking can be a little problem on Saturday and Friday nights. Make reservation especially during the season.

Amazing meal. Charcuterie plate is to die for. Chicken liver pate best ever!  Outstanding antelope chop! Loved the service by Jay!!! A new go-to  place. We'll be back soon!

We dined at Pomona during this past season. I'm sorry to say that for the price this restaurant was not even close to 5 stars. The owner or manager kept coming over to our table to tell us how wonderful the food was, "Right?," not ever asking if we really liked it...and more impressed with himself than listening to his customers.  We couldn't even respond.  I asked for my fish more well done.  It came practically raw. I should not have to send food back at a restaurant that claims to be so high-end and attentive to service. When you are dining with friends you never want to appear to be the picky one...that's why you ask in advance to have it cooked more well done. The servers had no clue that I had even asked. They pack 'em in at Pomona with strangers practically dining with you.  No privacy whatsoever! We were dining with friends, a younger couple,  and the servers fawned over them because they were locals and, "of course you will come back to see us."  But we were chopped liver barely even acknowledged.. The food was OK - but not as outstanding as the price.  Sarasota is filled with restaurants that charge premium prices during the season, because they can.  Unfortunately this is one of them.

Outstanding! My wife and I went there for date night. The uniqueness of the menu, the incredible taste of the food, the super friendly staff and the very clean/fresh atmosphere all makes it superb. To top it off the owner Arthur came by our table several times to chat and be part of the whole experience. He makes everyone feel like an old friend stopping by for dinner. Bravo for having such a place in Sarasota!
