Story

The Port Washington Twin Pines Community Charitable Thrift Shop is located in scenic Port Washington, NY on the north shore of Long Island in Nassau County. We're across from the Town Dock at 382 Main Street (entrance on Prospect Avenue) and are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10-6. Our main goals are to provide clothing, household goods and a wide range of products to those in need at reasonable prices; to assist in the distribution of food/meals to in-need local residents; and to provide training and work experience for the cognitively-challenged. We have something for everyone -- and that's no exaggeration! Toys and clothing for children of all ages (as well as the young at heart); baby and toddler equipment (pack n' plays, exersaucers, carriers, bouncy seats and more); bicycles; strollers; scooters; adult clothing, shoes and accessories; books; DVDs, CDs and video games; books for all ages and interests; housewares, small appliances, fine china, stoneware, silverware, glassware, crystal, cookware and servingware; small appliances; school supplies; party goods; giftware; decorative accessories of all kinds; antiques and collectibles; jewelry; artwork; mirrors; furniture; knitting and sewing supplies; healthcare items (underpads, walkers, and other assistive devices and aids); bed, bath and table linens and accessories; curtains and shades...the list goes on and on and if you don't find it one day, it may be there the next! All profits go back into the community to help fund services crucial to everyday living.
