Absolutely love this place.  The hot dogs are so good. The pasta is just average, so we come for the dogs and the atmosphere.  The hot dog itself has a bit of a crunch to the skin, but it’s definitely NOT overcooked.  My youngest son didn’t like the crunch the first time he ate it, but now he loves it.  I also don’t understand why their buns have seeds on them, but the buns in Chicago without seeds just don’t taste as good.

I believe the wait is worth it, but you will have to wait a while on your food here. I ate with my family and we were easily seated and had a good time. They had many options including a salad bar, hot dogs, burgers, and many other options. They also have an online menu which is helpful

This is not fast food, it's good food.  There is generally a  line but the wait time is reasonable.  Treat yourself and you'll be back again and again.

Always a delight when on the Chicago area. The service is amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing and clean. You can smell the deliciousness of the food before you enter. The food is fresh, tasty and scrumptious. I love the hotdogs and crispy, hot fries. The chocolate cake dessert is most, creamy and fresh.

This Portillos was extremely busy and in an urban environment.  Everyone was very civil, the service was great and the order was filled correctly.  If I am in the area I plan on returning again.  The antiques along the wall were a great conversation starter.
