Story

We know how addicting Peri Peri chicken is. So, after finding out that our friends loved it as much as we did, we decided it was finally time to unleash its awesomeness on Burbank. PortuCal’s unique recipe has taken years to perfect, combining the warming flavors of both Africa and Portugal. Don’t worry, though. With six different flavor levels, we’ll only make it as spicy as you’d like it. There’s nothing that makes us more excited than introducing people to our favorite food, so come experience the craze for yourself.

They say Popeye's is the best chicken. I beg to differ. I ate here last weekend and it offers nothing but taste. It's so good that even the breast part was tasty. I hate eating white meat but I loved every moment with their chicken's. Cooked to perfection.

Flavored grilled chicken. Different flavors. Good portions. Cashier was helpful took the time to explain the menu. A bit on the pricey side. But definitely worth the visit if you like chicken, but want something different.

So I found out about this place since it keeps popping up on my Postmates and Yelp and today I just so happened to be by it so I thought I'd give it a shot. First impression as I entered was okay it's got a fitting theme. There was only one guest sitting outdoors wrapping up his meal. I wasn't sure how the ordering worked so I asked for a chicken wrap and the gentleman at the register pointed out the sauces to my side. I took a taster sample of them and asked my chicken to be cooked with the garlic and herb mixed with hot sauce. He claimed the seasoned fries were good and I don't normally enjoy pre-frozen fries but I decided to take his word for it. Pager rang and though he could have easily brought it out to me, I went to grab the food. I don't really care for the extra steps and I'm not someone that expects everything served on a silver platter, but the smallest changes can make the diner's experience that much better. Moving onto the food. Fries were.. Meh what do you expect from previous frozen fries? You can taste the sogginess from the oil that was sucked into it. Seasoning was good, but consider switching to fresh cut fries especially if you're charging near $3. The wrap.. Well take a look at the picture.. Maybe 4 oz of chicken in the whole wrap if even that much. The sauce was good but the chicken itself didn't taste fresh. This place could definitely use better/fresher ingredients. Also on my way to the bathroom there were boxes of delivered food for them sitting right out front of the door. As I went to toss my trash I noticed a tray full of dirty dishes sitting atop as if it's been there since the weekend and nobody has washed it. Management should make changes. This place has potential to be more appealing.

Delicious chicken. The fries are also yummy! Made fresh with the peri peri sauce.

Great flavors. The Citrus herb on shimp or any meat in great. Too long of a wait for food to get out. Had to tell the cashier to Clean table. Customer Service was lazy. The spinach wrap is yummy. I'm glad I got the Mayo chipotle sauce it was. Gross to me but my boyfriend loved it for his shrimp dish
