Posados Cafe
"At Posados Cafe, we pay homage to the two things we love more than just about anything else: authentic Mexican cuisine and family. How do we do it? Through fresh, from-scratch Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites and welcoming, familiar interactions with our guests. All of that combined with our eclectic decor and feels-like-home vibe creates a unique dining experience that’s bursting with flavor and all about togetherness. And just like at any family gathering, dinner isn't over till after dessert, so ice cream is always on us!"

The food wasn't anything spectacular. It was hot and fresh but nothing blew us away and the white queso tasted weird. The service was slow and it was an off time of day without many other customers. Photo shows the sauce sampler appetizer.
Usually I don’t give out bad reviews but I have to for this spot. This place was not packed when I went during dinner time. Our waitress with blue hair seem like she didn’t care about her job and never came back to check on our table for any refills or dessert. Also, the food was really a disappointment as well. My chimichanga looks like the eggrolls you get from the grocery stores. My rice was dry and the beans were probably the best. Chips and salsa needs to be updated by another chef. I would not likely come back to this restaurant due to overprice on food that looks like it could be done at home.
Kinda weird happy hour is only from Sun-Thurs.... its Friday as I post this and I wish I got to experience happy hour. Beer price is kinda steep. My two "lunch special" tacos taste VERY store bought. The hard shell taco wasn't authentic. The "cheddar cheese!!".... you don't put cheddar cheese on a taco.... wad cold. Chips and salsa.... the chips seemed store bought. And the men's restaurant was filthy. Rugs were soaked with.... liquid.
Posado’s has been one of my favorite places since I was little. The food has always been delicious. We came back to Shreveport after about 15 years away, and the food is still wonderful. The staff was so kind. Great atmosphere, great people, and GREAT food!
We have 11 people and while this is a large group we arrived 5 minutes after a group of 13 and they were leaving by thr time we even have our food arrive. We had minimal interaction with our waitress who we had to stop just for her to help us with refills on drink, chips, tortillas, and napkins. She ignored is for 30 minutes while casually talking with other customers for many minutes and even when we were frustrated they including the manager dismissed us and our concerns. Now there was one waitress that was helped during dad's sugar low and gave is orange juice to help but other than that we have completely horrible service as someone who works in a similar Industry that was completely unprofessional and to completely ignore us for so long and get passive aggressive everything we are needing things such a refills did indeed anger us especially when they give such passive aggressiveness. I also express anger at the manager who watched us try to get the waitress attention the entire time but only offer help at the end of the dinner to refill a couple of drinks after an hour and a half of needing help the entire time.
Many years of coming to THIS location... I do not come this way very often but I will say... When I do I most always eat here. As all the posados I've been to, through the years, they are very consistent with their menu. I had fast friendly service and my plate was pretty, hot and tasty.
The food was okay and service was just okay. Table was not clean. Had to ask for silverware .Food: 3/5
I have eaten at both locations over here in shreveport multiple times, mostly because there aren't alot of options while I have worked around here the last 12 years. It is still amazing to me, that neither restaurant understands how to make a tortilla. Almost all the Texas locations do a great job and that's one of the most beloved items on the menu at the locations around Tyler texas. What goes for a tortilla around here, would not pass in East Texas. These that I am talking about here are like a miserable squashed little cold burnt biscuit. No love put into that whatsoever. Just letting yall know.
Good food.. Only issue.. we was the 1st ppl n the door. 6 tables after us. We received our food . The last ones.. And wad told cause they were short handed.. By the other waitress. Our waitress didn't bring our food nor . Our drinks. . R any refills. . Praying ppl go to work. So businesses. Dt suffer.. . Waitress who dt wanna work only want a tip and do no work... for it. Which I have her 5.00. For nothing but taking our order.. js.
We tried the Chicken and Beef Enchilada plates, one with cheese sauce and one with red chili sauce. The cheese was a bit salty. The beans and rice were good. The staff were nice. Complimentary chips and salsa. A family friendly atmosphere.
