This lovely restaurant/meeting venue just hosted our all-day annual year-end review and goal setting event and we couldn't have been happier! From the very gracious and responsive reply to our initial inquiry from the holiday cookies served during our last break of the day this afternoon, everything was as we expected or better.  We did our business while enjoying one-of-a-kind views, a wonderful meal, and terrific New Mexico hospitality ... all at a very competitive and fair price.  Based on our experience today, I highly recommend the facility, the staff and the Prairie Star management coordination that made our day both productive and enjoyable for all of our participants.

All dishes are made for scratch in house.  You can taste the difference!  Great wine list and full bar.

On June 10 we had our 50th Anniversary dinner at Prairie Star.  We had 12 guests and were given a private room.  The staff was outstanding!!  They met us at the door and escorted us to our room.  Throughout the entire meal they were attentive and courteous.  The meal was out of this world.  Every one of our guests said their entree was "the best they had ever had!"  We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there and would highly recommend it to everyone.  We are so thankful that we chose Prairie Star for our special dinner!!!  Special kudos to Mark and Tara!!

We came here with a party of 9 for thanksgiving. This is the 2nd time for me but a first for most of the party. Too bad. They offered several options for appetizers and entrees and only 1 dessert option. 

My first impression was they had difficulty with creating consistent plates--2 of the same salads--one looked like a spinach salad, the other looked like spring greens. My husband and I ordered the grilled romaine salad with pine nuts; his had a thick layer of nuts, mine had a sprinkling.  Four people ordered the prime rib with horseradish sauce--2 plates had the sauce, 2 plates did not. The turkey 'crepe' appetizer looked more like a turkey burrito, the crepe was about 1/2" thick. Of course, most of us ordered the turkey entree and it was very dry pieces of turkey breast. I had to ask for extra gravy to help get it down. The potatoes served on the side were very tasty. The desert was tasty but only one option. If you didn't like nuts, you were out of luck--it was filled with them. 

The service was pretty good and I appreciate those that are working on thanksgiving but this experience was certainly not their A-game. Considering the price, I would expect much, much more.
