PrairieStar Health Center is a Non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center providing quality healthcare to residents of Hutchinson, Reno County and surrounding areas. Now Open at their new facility at 2700 East 30th Avenue, they welcome new patients for appointments or walk-ins, serving medical, pediatrics, eye, dental and industrial medicine. PrairieStar provides caring, professional healthcare to people of all ages with insurance and without including medicare and medicaid.

Dental Review! 
Literally almost killed me! STAY AWAY! Go to GraceMed! I went in for a tooth that was in pain. They Xrayed and examined. Sent me away with NO medication and an extraction date A MONTH AWAY! Was in massive pain. A week later I managed to get into GraceMed who instantly saw that the tooth was infected, and it had almost spread into my jaw bone. They were blown away that Prairie Star missed this. DO NOT go to Prairie Star Dental!

They took x-rays of my mouth and told me that I would need a few fillings. They got through one only to tell me that it needed a root canal done which is extremely irritating. Also, they never answer the phone on the dental side or have called me back after leaving voicemails with my information.

I would give this place less than one star if I could. I had my first visit which went great. I scheduled a second visit and when I went in, my appointment had been cancelled because of a mistake on the behalf of their customer service staff! They were happy to reschedule me but I had to wait another month! This place is terrible! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

I have been there for medical and counseling.  So far I am pleased. Just started counseling.  I believe it helps.  Have not been there for dental.  My doctor does a good job of diagnosing.  Yes it is annoying not being able to see her when I am sick.  But easier to get in then at the clinic.  My wait at Prairie Star is a week.  My wait at clinic about a month.  But they do have walk in care but after getting over the fear of diabetes I am back to near death then doctor.  Because there is not much that can be done by anyone.
