The Mission of the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas is to empower and assist youth, families and adults in our community to achieve optimal mental health and wellness through education, advocacy, and service.
Our Vision is achievement of a just, humane, and healthy society where all people are treated with respect, dignity, and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and prejudice.
The Mental Health Association offers services across the life span from pre-schoolers to senior citizens.
The Counseling Center at MHA is now offering an alcohol and drug safety action program for first time offenders. The DUI program is court approved by the 18th Judicial Court. The program is a one-day educational offering that reviews not only substance education but also awareness of the impact of DUI offenses to the community as a whole. The program is facilitated by two Licensed Masters Level therapists, who are also AAPS certified. The course includes an assessment of substance use issues for each participant. Classes are held the 2nd Saturday of each month.
