Story

Starting as a 1 bay 2 man shop in 1990, Precision Automotive Repair quickly found its new 5,000 sq. ft. home - conveniently located 1/2 mile west of Hwy. 99 across from the 47th Ave light rail station. Throughout the years, PAR has had a blemish-free B.A.R license, and is AAA Approved, ASCCA members and A.S.E certified. Our technicians are continually trained to stay up to date on new, alternative, hybrid, clean diesel and CNG vehicle technology. And they recently earned their Smog Licenses.

The quality of our work at an affordable cost is what has kept our loyal customers coming back for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on having one of the most convenient and honest auto repair shops in the Sacramento area. We are a full service auto repair facility, so whether you have routine maintenance or major issues with your Asian, domestic or light to medium duty diesel vehicle, we have the A.S.E Certified technicians that can complete your work in a timely manner. Just wanted to say thank you to Scott,he is a great service manager he explained everything to me that I needed to know, even after I yelled at him over the phone!  He treated me with respect and honesty!!! I would recommend precision automotive to anyone I know who needs automotive work because they are a total team package!!!  So to you Rick and your team I say thank you!! It's nice to be able to find a business these days that has great service, total honesty and respect for it's customer's, hope you have a good year!

I was blown away by an amazing service I received at Precision auto , right from the start when I spoke to Rick Norton on the phone in regards to an issue I had with my 03’ Chevy Diesel. He was able to asses the problem over the phone, since I’m a contractor  and relit heavily on my truck, Rick was able to understand my situation and took my truck in within a few days. Other mechanic shops wanted me to wait for upwards of 2 weeks, I am very fortunate I was able to come across Rick and his team. They resolved my issue and got me back on the road within a week, along the way they were able to recommend other issues as well , and they took care of them with a reasonable costs. Prices are amazing, service is superb. I really felt like a first class human being, working with Precision Automotive. 
There’s no reason to go anywhere else , I am a customer for life.

Had my 2014 Subaru Forester checked there, for burning smell. Rick, the owner treated me warmly, and honestly offered the AAA membership discount to my bill even before I noticed it’s a AAA approved auto repair shop. Fair price and very professional service. Would recommend.

I will absolutely be coming back to get my car and any future vehicle worked on at Precision Automotive Service. Everyone was so friendly and nice. I really appreciated that everything was explained so clearly to me! With other repairs I've had from other shops, I really couldn't go and explain to others exactly what was going on, but I feel like I've really been able to this time because it was so clearly explained to me right off the bat.

Far from honest. This place is the epitome of shady mechanics. Not only were they trying to charge me for services I specifically told them I don't want, but now they are trying to hold my vehicle hostage. After I dropped it off, they told me they could not do ANYTHING because the battery is dead. I need to pay $265 for a new battery and $65 for them to install it. When I came to pick up my vehicle, they are now trying to say that they did work on it and they will not release it unless I pay them. After they told me they could not do anything until I bought a battery from them.  This place ought to be shut down! They are the reason auto mechanics have a bad name.
