The name says it all. These are independent, individual stylists that have spent years, decades. honing their skill in the trade. If you want a consistent look time and again, and are not opposed to paying a little more for the privilege, this is where you want to go.

This is where you go to get a top-notch haircut! I have been going to Professional Hairstyling since its opening, and Randy Cunningham has been my barber for my whole life. I wholeheartedly give this business a full 5 stars for professionalism, courteousness, and a friendly atmosphere.

So, I had previously gotten in, as a walk up with the nice lady that cuts in the very back of the shop.  I was due for another hair cut, and figured I should make an advance appointment.  I own a retail store just a few spaces down in the same shopping center, so I walked in to make the appointment.

There was a man cutting someone's hair in the closest space to the front door, and another guy at the back left, with his back to me, standing up, when I walked in.

Neither of the guys acknowledged I was standing there, though BOTH made eye contact. Not even a "Hello", nod, nada!  I understand the guy cutting hair is focusing on his current appointment, but the hippie lookin dude, was standing up and texting on his phone.  He would look over at me every minute or so, and then go right back to his phone.  I stood there for 7 minutes, (2 mins longer than I told myself I would put up with this nonsense)..  Finally, walked out the door, just as another customer was walking in.

I own a retail store, and I don't care if I am 6 deep, I greet EVERYONE that walks in the door immediately. Customers understand you are with someone, but getting acknowledged let's them know you aren't ignoring that they took the time to come to your shop.

It's a shame, that this experience occurred, as the woman that cut my hair did a great job. But, if I can't get the time of day when I walk in, my money is getting spent elsewhere!
