HORRIBLE!!!! I have been here several times over the years and each time I regret it!!! First they are SLOW way beyond the normal ER ! They also treat nothing as urgent! Every single employee with the exception of the nurses are a complete joke! The receptionist are to busy giggling and socializing to care for patients. Typical wait in the waiting room is an hour plus (if you’re lucky!)then when you finally do get back to a room the DOCTORS are the worst! They are uneducated, have zero bedside manner and are some of the worst I have EVER encountered! I work in medical so I have an idea of how a doctor should behave!!! It is seriously a disgrace and I have no idea how they have gotten away with this without improving for over a decade!! So sad don’t go here if you have a choice choose any other ER in the area seriously!!!

PREGNANT FOLKS: DO NOT GO HERE!!! GO TO PROVIDENCE PORTLAND INSTEAD! It could save your life! I had a burst fallopian tube from an ectopic pregnancy and going here was the biggest mistake of my life. They let me bleed into my abdominal cavity in excruciating pain with nothing but hydration fluid for 4 hours. By the time I was transferred to Portland Providence for my emergency surgery (You know, because I was hemorrhaging)  40% of my blood supply was in my abdominal cavity and my lungs were strangling. I was on the verge of going into shock. They were callous and never adopted any urgency about my condition, even after they had diagnosed me. And it isn't like it wasn't obvious. Sitting up made me pass out. My vitals were causing alarms to go off, which they rationalized away or simply didn't react to. I am fairly certain I would have died if my husband wasn't chasing them down asking why everything was taking so long. I later learned that they have no OB staff in the entire hospital as they had shut down that department at some point in the past.

I had the worst experience of my life here. Instead of listening to her symptoms and treating her accordingly, the hospital staff here let my wife writhe in pain from internal bleeding for 4+ hours. The hospital lacked basic supplies - no heat packs! - and the staff was inattentive and disrespectful. My wife and I were ultimately transferred to Providence Portland, where she got the treatment she needed and the decency that she deserves.
