My 82 year old mother stayed at Pruitt twice for three weeks each time which included physical therapy.  It's a simple place but very clean. The staff are kind and caring. I never witnessed anything that made me question my mother's quality of care. If you don't have to have a fancy place, I highly recommend Pruitt health Austell. Nothing but praise.

PLEASE READ!!  DO NOT take your loved one to this facility.  They give their patients anti depressants and keep them sedated most of the time so they don't have to deal with them because of under staffing.  A dear friends father was recently in this facility and had to be taken to the hospital.  He was severely dehydrated, to the point his tongue was cracked and his kidneys were dry!!!  They are understaffed!  The CPA's pull medicine from their pockets and hand them out to the patients like candy and tell them to "just take it".  WHO DOES THAT???  SOMEBODY PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS FACILITY!!!!

They didn't give my sister a bath for 8 days not even on request!  Didn't change the  sheets for 8 days. When she finally got  something to  eat it was cold. Nurses and staff didn't have a care for my sister at all. My 83 year old mother had to ask them to give her food. That's the reason for the rehab to gain weight and some strength training.  None of that happened! !Shame on them! Not a clean place don't go there!

My mother was here and now she is in a Hospice Care Facility. If you love and care about your family member, do not send them to this place. On two separate occasions we had to insist on her going to the hospital,  they did not like it at all. I will be filing a complaint with the state and federal government departments that oversee nursing homes and other folks should do the same.

The first time I went up there to see my sister they were real friendly and the place was nice and clean. But the more I went up there the more I noticed doesn't any nurse know anything really and she would call the nurse to come in there and it would take maybe 15-20 minutes. Also when she would ask for a Tylenol or a cup of ice it would take 30 minutes or longer to get it. Once she asked for Tylenol and it took them almost an hour. The pull up underwear she had wet for at least two and a half hours, they said they didn't have no more mediums and then brought one that was extra extra large and she was really small, she weighed maybe 50 or 60 pounds. The nurses tried to say their room where everything was, was locked and they didn't have the key to get anything out. Then that Monday before Thanksgiving as of 2017 they called me and told me on Sunday November 26th 2017! she would be discharged, so I couldn't get there to get her till around 7:30 that night and the nurses that were there said they did not have no papers to discharge so wait till Monday morning and come back. Then finally after about 45 minutes they found the papers and then they brought them in there and said we needed to wait till tomorrow morning to call to get her prescriptions they didn't have any to give and they wasn't sure what medicine she took. Well I would like to know what medicine they were giving her. I just really didn't care for this place after a few times of going up there and especially the night she went home. Also few weeks before she went home she had a doctor's appointment in Atlanta from Austell anyways the EMT came and picked her up and took her to the doctor and then they get there and the lady at the desk said she called and spoke to her nurse and told her nurse they had to reschedule it but the nurse did not let her or anyone know.  she rode from Austell to Atlanta for nothing. The way the nurses acted I don't think I would let my dogs stay there!
